Crystals For a Feng Shui Energy Boost

Created by the earth they help to bring the outside world in to your interior space and have the advantage of balancing yin and yang energy around your home. Placing crystals in the rooms in your house helps energy flow calmly and more easily and brings harmony and peace where there is conflict or discord.

Below are some of my favourite uses for crystals and tips for how they can be used for maximum benefit. In addition to enhancing the energy in the home placed as part of an arrangement crystals can also make beautiful visual displays.

Crystals for Wealth

Wealth energy is high yang energy and if you are suffering a reduction in income or a downturn in your financial fortunes then you need to give the energy in this area of your life a bit of a boost. High yang crystals such as shiny red Carnelian or the beautiful golden Citrine should be placed both in the south east sector of your home and inside your front door. Citrine and Carnelian, for the best effect, should be placed in rectangular or square wooden bowls as they are high yang crystals and you do not want to minimise the benefits that these bring by placing them in metal or glass bowls both of which represent yin energy. Do not place them in direct sunlight as you do not want the energy to fade.

Crystals for your Career

The areas of your home that represent your career are the rooms that face north and, if you work from home, your home office. If you are looking to gain promotion at work, a change of career or if you run a business and want to improve your business success placing high yin crystals in these areas can work wonders. My favourite high yin crystals for the career area are Lapis Lazuli and Jet both of which look beautiful when placed in a circular or irregular shaped glass bowl. Career energy can be enhanced further if you place the crystals in front of a small water feature which incorporates moving water. The moving water can help bring movement to a career or a business that is stagnating.

Crystals for Love

When I am asked for a crystal cure it is often because the person who wants the cure is looking for love in their life. Crystals as Feng Shui love enhancers are probably the most popular of all crystal cures. The most well known love crystals are the pale pink Rose Quartz and the purple Amethyst and these make beautiful decorations in the bedroom or in the south west area of your home.

If you are looking for love in your life it is important that you place love cures in pairs. Place Rose Quartz or Amethyst crystals in two bowls at either side of your bed or alternatively place two crystals at either side of an ornament of two people. In my own home we have two cherubs sitting side by side both of which hold a Rose Quartz crystal in their hands.

If you are in a relationship and want to strengthen it then a lovely crystal cure is to buy a pair of crystals and give one to your partner to carry with them whilst you keep the other one. Each time your hand touches the crystal you are reminded of the love between the two of you.

Crystals for the Family

No room in the house represents the family more than the living room and if you are experiencing conflict or disharmony in family relationships any cures or enhancements should be concentrated here. Calming crystals such as Green Fluorite or Green Jade should be placed here as they help to bring balance and calmness. Large green plants such as bamboo or ferns help to bring a sense of peace and tranquillity to the family area and crystals can be scattered around the base of these plants to help lift the energy in the room. Alternatively you can place Green Fluorite or Green Jade crystals around family photographs.
